Paris Hilton's attempts to flirt with soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo ended in disaster as the star's romantic advances were rejected, according to reports.

The socialite is reported to have spotted the Portuguese star in Hollywood bar Villa - and made a beeline to chat to the player.

But she was knocked back by Ronaldo, who wasn't interested in romancing the Simple Life star.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Paris saw Ronaldo and immediately slithered past the dozens of women trying to get his attention. Then she climbed over one of his mates and planted herself next to him, but he wasn't interested."

Paris Hilton thought up a TV show that will undoubtedly make me pay random strangers to throw an axe at my face. In the future, historians wearing jet packs will point to this show's inception as the apex of civilization's decline. But then they'll find themselves addicted to the catty chatter ultimately dooming their own space-age utopia. Don't believe me? Just spend a good 30 seconds imagining Britney Spears' commentary on, shit, anything. If within the first 10 you don't shove your face in the oven, congratulations, you're a robot. More than 85,000 people want to be Paris Hilton's best friend.

The 27-year-old is using the Internet to cast potential friends for her new reality show, "Paris Hilton's My New BFF." The MTV series, which begins production next month, will follow 20 contestants as they live together and vie for the chance to be Hilton's permanent plus-one.

Thousands of candidates have posted profiles and videos on ParisBFF.com in hopes of winning a spot on the show. Visitors to the site can vote for their favorites, and the top vote-getters will be added to the cast, producers said.

The site has already collected more than 6 million page views since it went live five weeks ago. And the heiress herself is among those checking out the daily posts.

Hilton, who also serves as the show's executive producer, took time out after an MTV business meeting to talk with The Associated Press about her public quest for friendship.

"Yeah, it sucks [having large feet]," the Daily Mail's Web site reports Hilton as saying. "I see all these super cute shoes in the stores: Gucci's, YSL's, Manolo's. And when they bring them out in my size, they look like clown shoes."

But Paris isn't alone, Uma Thurman joins her in the size 11 shoe aisle. And in tales of shoe adversity, Justin Timberlake reportedly made fun of 15-year-old Mandy Moore for having size 10 feet while she was on tour with NSYNC in 1999.

Most Overexposed Celebrity in America

Paris Hilton has topped a new list of the "Most Overexposed Celebrity in America," according to media report Friday.

A survey conducted by Los Angeles-based E-Poll Market Research showed that the hotel heiress has beaten Britney Spears and party girl Lindsay Lohan to the top of the list.

The survey, reported by Forbes magazine, noticed that the media exposure keeps such stars among the ranks of top celebrities even when their movie, TV, or recording work is unnoticeable.

Forbes has given the example of Pamela Anderson, who has landed the fourth spot in the list.

"Without the acting career she hoped would take off. It's her tabloid presence care of multiple marriages (and divorces) and provocative ways that continues to open doors for her celebrity," Contactmusic quoted Forbes, as stating.

Wow! Paris Hilton Busts Her Chin

Paris is usually a model of poise as she poses and pouts for the paparazzi.

However she has shown she can by as clumsy as the rest of us, even if she had swapped her trademark vertiginous heels for a pair of trainers - not footwear usually associated with danger.

The socialite was attempting a quick exit from a music store in Prague, the Czech Republic with boyfriend Benji Madden, when she tripped over a step, fell face down and banged her chin on the ground.

To add to her distress, Madden failed to play the doting beau and help Hilton to her feet and instead stepped over the hurt heiress.

However, in a move which shows chivalry isn’t completely dead, Madden, on realising the severity of Hilton’s fall, turned back round and helped her up.

But the damage was done and Hilton was overheard telling Madden: “Prague…never again.”

Up until now, Hilton has been enjoying her globe-trotting holiday which has included stop-overs in London, Cape Town, Berlin and attending the Miss Turkey 2008 beauty contest in Istanbul.

Perhaps her latest trip, the one on the ground, was down to her huge U.S. size 11 feet.
